Newton Grange

Once linked in medieval times to Sawley Abbey, Newton Grange continues as a sheep farm in a secluded rural location adjacent to the Leeds-Liverpool Canal and the Pennine Way, six miles from Skipton in North Yorkshire.

We believe that Newton Grange offers its customers ‘far more’. We provide accommodation tailored to your needs, from high quality Bed and Breakfast accommodation to delightful, individual Self Catering units. Up to 34 people can be accommodated on site making us the ideal venue to visit for groups of friends or extended families. Footpaths and bridleways are accessible from the doorstep, providing many opportunities for walking, cycling and pony trekking. We offer grazing for your horse or pony and accommodate both horse and rider during two day treks organised by Kilnsey Trekking Centre. Reception rooms are available for hire for your own private celebration or dinner party. The grounds make a beautiful setting for your intimate and exclusive marquee wedding. Access Statement

Introduction

We offer Bed and Breakfast accommodation, room hire for small conferences and outside facilities for weddings.  The following statement sets out a summary of what is provided.

Pre-Arrival

• Please telephone or send an e-mail regarding availability of accommodation (John & Catherine Howard, Tel: 01756 796016, E-mail: bookings@banknewton.fsnet.co.uk)
• Before your stay, please let us know your expected arrival time.  We also ask that guests ring us on the day to confirm their arrival time at least an hour beforehand.

Arrival & Car Parking

• Car parking is adjacent to the property on a tarmacadam drive or in the nearby car park opposite Newton Grange that serves both the Bed & Breakfast accommodation and the Self Catering Cottages.
• Assistance can be provided with carrying luggage.

Entrance

• The entrance to the Bed and Breakfast is through the main front door.  There are three 15cm (6") high steps (with a 30-35cm (12-14") tread).  The front door is the main evacuation route.
• For conferences/weddings there is also a rear door with one small step.

Reception

• Seating is available in reception.
• A ground floor toilet is available.

Public Areas

• There is a ground floor sitting room, which is available to guests at all times.
• The dining room is found on the ground floor at the bottom of the stairs.

Bedrooms

• All bedrooms are to the first floor and are accessed via 22 steps on the main staircase.  Each step is 16cm (6.5") high. 
• There are two steps down to reach the Beamed Room, which is the double bedroom with adjacent bathroom.

Outdoor Facilities

• There is a level, paved pathway around the outside of the property with wooden benches available to sit on.
• There is automatic outside lighting at night.

Additional Information

• Medication can be stored in the fridge, if requested.
• Mobile phone reception is available depending on the network provider.
• The house phone, found in the kitchen, is available for outgoing calls in emergencies only.
• We are non-smoking premises.
• Accommodation is available all year round.
